The mark Fiona left on the world is positive and permanent. Her work has resulted in positive benefits for mothers and babies and will continue to do so indefinitely. Fiona was a gifted clinician and researcher and unofficially mentored me (and many others) with patience, kindness and good humour. Despite her many achievements, I feel her greatest legacy is the way she interacted with others; her kindness, energy and passion. She taught by example and many people have benefited from this hidden curriculum that she provided and are better clinicians and researchers because of it. Despite her obvious commitment to her work, family always came first and I loved to listen to the stories about her boys (always told with a smile on her face) and admired her dedication to family life. The world is a better place because Fiona was in it but I will miss her dreadfully.
