We know Fiona through her participation on the Academy’s Future Leaders programme (FLIER). All of us on the FLIER team are deeply upset; Fiona was very much part of the FLIER family and we really enjoyed getting to know her during the programme. We have many fond memories of Fiona; her warmth and humour shone through at the first residential sessions in 2019 as well as her enthusiasm for FLIER and for our work at AMS. Fiona was driving real medical innovation, and changing how researchers can work across sectors. It was clear how passionate she was to make a difference, and she succeeded! Fiona will continue to inspire us and will be dearly missed.
