I met Fiona several years ago when we became members of the medical school’s appeals committee. Fiona was a wonderful colleague whose opinions I greatly respected. Over the years, she used her considerable experience and insights to help us make often difficult decisions. Particularly notable was her continuing concern about the mental health of students, both currently and in relation to the challenges and rigours that they would face in their work as doctors. She is a great loss and I will miss her words of wisdom, as well as her cheery smile. Amanda.
