Fiona was one of the first people I was lucky enough to collaborate with when I moved back to Edinburgh in 2009. We remained friends and colleagues over the years, working on various projects together over the years. As well as being driven, inquisitive, and inspirational to her colleagues and juniors (as much as she'd never admit it), Fiona was just a lot of fun to work with. Her often self-deprecating and always irreverent humour made our projects fun to work on together. I will miss her, as will my colleagues in the Edinburgh Imaging group. Catching up with Fiona over a cup of coffee was always a welcome part of my day and usually had us both laughing about something. During those times, she talked often and fondly of Gordon, James and David. My thoughts, and those of my colleagues are with them and the rest of Fiona's close family and friends.
