I only properly met Fiona once when I accompanied my husband Professor Colin Sibley to a conference in Florence in 2018. Just in that short moment of time she made an impression on me. She was friendly, funny and chatty. She had just recently been awarded her Chair. I was deeply saddened to hear of her suffering and death.
