Dear family of Fiona. I am Stephen (Tong), an obstetric academic in Melbourne. I echo many of Fiona's friends to say that even over here in Australia, we were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the news. I regularly met up with Fiona at the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) meetings in the US. She was internationally respected as a fine researcher, a fine clinician and really fun to be with (great sense of humour). She will be deeply missed. - Stephen
