Who would have thought, back in 1988, when I first met Fiona at medical school, that 34 or so years later this would happen? We shared an anatomy table with a few others with surnames beginning with "D", or "E". We had a lot of fun and whilst we scraped through the exams, Fiona sailed through, no bother. Our career paths went their own ways, I hadn't seen Fiona in a while, but that does not diminish the sadness and feeling of loss to us all.
